Backlog Blitz: NES, Week 12, "K-Street Shuffle"

Heyo! How's it going? I spent the week training new employees at work, which was fun. And I got in some time with more modern games. The highlight was Betrayer, which uses a color palette of white, black, and red. It's really fascinating, and pretty solid fun. An interesting story with multiple interpretations, stealth/action gameplay, and yeah, the color palette is cool. There's a free demo on Steam if you're interested. Anyway, I also played some old games, and that's what you're here for, right? So let's hit it! *record scratch* hit it!

Backlog Blitz: NES, Week 11, "Life, Uh, Finds a Way"

"Please, sir, I'm poor and sick and hungry..." The beggars and lunatics in Assassin's Creed have driven me to the point where I murder them if they even get close to me. At some point I may just see how if I can empty Acre without getting desynchronized. At least I played some halfway-decent NES games this week... Because that totally makes up for a voice actor whose voice and lines make my ears bleed.

Backlog Blitz: NES, Week 10, "Indiana Jones and the Awful Games"

No, that isn't a clever title like last week. But I'm not a clever man. So it all balances out, right? RIGHT? Please validate my pathetic, mewling existence. I'm so lonely. It's cold here in Minnesota. Cold and barren, like my emotional life. One time I thought I saw a puppy, but it was just an illusion. Ice madness. And now I'm about to play Ice Climber. How fitting. It's as if I'm making these intros up! Naaah, can't be.

Backlog Blitz: NES, Week 9, "Ain't Nothin' But G-Thangs"

I know, I know, I'm the person least qualified to make any sort of rap reference. Whatever. Anyway, I'm finally back from Georgia, floating in the hiatus between Christmas break and resuming work. So I played video games. Read about them and their awfulness. They are awful. Terrible. Grotty. Gross. Gangrenous. Other words starting with "G" in order to force this theme even further. Because I always take jokes too far. I'm a jerk like that.
